Donor Egg Bank USA offers you the immediacy, convenience, privacy,
quality, and reassurance you’ve been waiting for to grow your family.
We can provide immediate access to donor eggs that have already been retrieved, frozen, and are ready to ship. That means you can start when you’re ready — without worrying about locating a donor, donor cancellation, international travel, or depending on the shipment of sperm for embryo creation.
Only Donor Egg Bank USA can offer you the experience, quality, and expertise that comes with being the leader of supplying frozen eggs since 2012. With an average clinical pregnancy rate of 62% (almost twice the current standard in Australia), we are proud to be putting that experience into practice.
Each donor has already been qualified using comprehensive fertility, genetic, physical, infectious disease, and drug screening — plus psychological assessment and counseling with an ANZICA-certified professional. Our ID-disclosure donors' profiles include their families’ medical histories, photos, and other information to help you learn more about each one.s
All of the donors on our website are ID Release and have received counseling per ANZICA (The Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association). Our egg donors are volunteers who are reimbursed for their expenses in the cycling process.
Donors on our website also undergo infectious disease screening, genetic screening, psychological counseling, a full family history review, a physical, and other medical screening.
We post all information that is provided to us regarding the donor on our website. We respect their privacy and do our best not to request additional information unless it is necessary to support an active health issue in an offspring.
As we receive
updated family history information, we will update our website notating the
time we received it.
We add donors as soon as we have collected all the information from the medical practice where the donor cycled; therefore, we do not follow a set schedule. If you have been looking for specific donor characteristics, please contact us and we will help you find a donor.
Please note that our website is live, which means that donors can be added or selected at any time. Please contact us to have your account upgraded to be able to select a donor, if you have not already done so.
No, placing a donor in your favorites folder does not secure a donor. The favorites folder is simply a tool for you to easily track and compare the donors you like. When the donor’s last egg lot is gone, you will see “Donor Not Available” indicated in the donor profile preview.
We highly recommend that you either write down the number of the donors you are interested in or you keep them in your favorite’s list. If the donor is no longer available, you may call us with the number, and we can assess their willingness to cycle again. We only allow up to six cycles per donor.
You must be enrolled into our program to have the ability to select a donor. Call us today to get started at (855) 344-2265.
Supplemental fees are added if we incur additional expenses during
the donor’s cycle, such as: external agency fees, travel,
accommodations, etc. While some donors may have been discovered by an
external agency, all their screening and medical care is managed by a
Donor Egg Bank USA partner practice. Therefore, the donor has received
our rigorous screening, and their eggs have been frozen in accordance
with our technology protocol.
It is your decision
if, and with whom, you choose to share the genetic source of your child. We
strongly recommend that you share the information with your OB/GYN and,
ultimately, with your child's pediatrician, so they can better care for both
you and your child. We also encourage you to share this information with your
future child in an age-appropriate way.
Eggs are shipped to Australian
fertility clinics in accordance with your local regulations. The donors you see on our website have been approved for
shipment to a fertility practice in your territory. Please consult with your
physician regarding any medical indication that could prohibit you from
pursuing donor egg treatment.
It is free to register and enroll with us. We understand that moving forward with donor egg is a big decision emotionally and financially, and we would like to alleviate unnecessary stress. You are not under any pressure or commitment to proceed. If you select a donor from our database, we will then send you contracts and wiring instructions to process your payment.
Donor egg treatment is composed of four primary components. First are the expenses associated with the egg donor’s eligibility pre-screening. Second is the cost of the donor's IVF cycle and associated medication to retrieve and freeze their eggs. Third is the cost of the recipient's cycle to get the donor ready for the eggs to be transferred into their uterus. Fourth are the laboratory fees associated with the egg thaw, insemination of the eggs, and embryo culture to the blastocyst stage.
These costs are used to create the package price of our Single Cycle and Assured Refund Plans®. Egg lots alone are $16,000 plus $1,300 shipping in USD. Our eggs are typically discounted in our packages, so please contact us for your clinic’s financial guide.
The Assured Refund Plan is offered at clinics that have contracted with us to participate in our package plans that bundle eggs and physician services together.
If your physician is not contracted, please have them contact us at DEBeggs@debusa.com
mailto:DEBeggs@debusa.com
, or let your case manager know and we will proactively reach out to the practice.
Similar to the Assured Refund Plan, the Multi Egg Lot Refund Plan offers a live birth guarantee. In the case of the Multi Egg Lot Refund Plan, the physician services are not included. This plan offers up to four egg lots in the quest for a baby.
Treatment
costs for the intended parent(s) and laboratory are paid separately to the
fertility practice.
The Assured Refund Plan and Multi Egg Lot Refund Plans require medical approval to participate in the financial 100% money back guarantee. 95% of applicants are accepted into the plan.
One of the requirements is for each applicant to have a mock or pilot cycle to verify the uterine lining thickness on exogenous estrogen. Those applicants who fulfill the requirement of a mock cycle are considered for full acceptance into the plan. One of the benefits of using frozen eggs is that a mock cycle can be combined with an actual cycle when the purpose of the cycle is to check the lining. This can save both time and money.
When our medical reviewer determines you to be otherwise
eligible for the plan but information regarding the uterine lining is
unavailable, you will be accepted as Assured Refund or Multi Egg Lot Refund Contingent.
If you are considered Contingent and your lining does not meet the eight mm minimum
required for the program during your actual egg bank cycle, your cycle would be converted to a single cycle or
a single egg lot cycle and the difference in fees will be refunded to you.
Please discuss this option with your physician.
The Assured Refund Plan and Multi Egg Lot Refund Plan require medical approval to participate in the financial 100% money back guarantee. 95% of applicants are accepted into the plan.
If an intended parent plans to use a gestational carrier but has not yet secured one, they may be approved as “pre-qualified” based on acceptable sperm source parameters, and embryos may be made prior to securing the gestational carrier. Once found, the gestational carrier will be reviewed for program eligibility.
No, for each negative cycle, a cycle review is
completed before the next cycle is authorized. The cycle review is done
internally, and it is quick and is routine. While it does not happen
frequently, additional information may be requested prior to the authorization
of the next cycle. It could also occur that the next cycle is not authorized
because of concerns that there may be unresolved reasons for lack of
success. In the event that a cycle is not authorized, a full refund
will be provided.
Each year our
partnering practices receive thousands of donor applications and are highly
selective in who is chosen to be a donor. After passing the initial screening,
each donor undergoes a more intensive medical, genetic, and psychological
screening process before they can be deemed eligible for egg donation. Less than
10% of the applicants will qualify to become a donor, as most applicants are
screened out by the information they provide in their initial
application.
Yes, genetic screening is performed on every donor to help identify and reduce potential risks to offspring conceived through our egg donation program. You can see this information on the donor’s profile online. The specific tests performed differ among individual donors because genetic testing changes over time. Therefore, Donor Egg Bank USA sends a copy of a donor’s genetic test results to your fertility practice at the time of a match so that the donor’s results can be reviewed in detail by your doctor. We strongly recommend that the intended parent(s) and treating physician discuss the donor’s genetic screening results prior to shipment of a donor’s eggs to determine that this egg donor’s genetic screening results are suitable for your reproductive plans.
All egg donors are required to complete a battery of pre-screening
tests, as well as a written and face-to-face mental health assessment. As they
don't know what criteria will make them selectable, they are less likely to be
evasive. Therefore, we believe that most donors are straightforward in their
answers and have been truthful in their responses. However, we have not
independently verified the donor's profile.
An ID-Disclosure donor has consented to the release of their identifying information (name, date of birth, contact information) upon request to the donor-conceived child once they reach the age of 18. A Non-Disclosure donor, not eligible for Australia Intended Parents, does not consent to the release of their identifying information.
A donor’s
de-identified information — including profile, photos, and genetic test results
— is always available upon request.
Yes, our database includes egg donors that meet requirements for Australia. The United States and Australia have compatible requirements for donor age, infectious disease screening and testing, family medical and genetic history screening, genetic testing, psychological evaluation, and informed consenting of egg donors. Additional requirements for Australia include altruistic donation, certified counselling, consent to release of identifying information, and family unit limits.
In addition to federal and regional
requirements, every Donor Egg Banks USA donor meets our internal screening
standards for family and genetic history, infectious disease, fertility and
hormone levels, drug screening, and psychological examination.
A “first-time” egg donor is a person who has never donated their eggs
before. A "repeat" egg donor has an established record in which
their eggs and/or the resulting embryo quality have had favorable
results. The vast majority of repeat donors have been successful in
achieving a
pregnancy. However, it is important to remember that every successful
repeat
donor was once a first- time donor.
This varies by
donation facility location. Many donors had already begun their donation
cycle
prior to the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The donors will
complete
their donation under close supervision of a physician. Donation
facilities are
following recommendations put forth by the AATB (American Association of
Tissue Banks) Physician's Council, which requires a deferral for
symptoms, risk
factors, or exposure associated with COVID-19. Some donation facilities
have
suspended donation cycles to comply with local, regional, or state
requirements.
All oocytes that are frozen within the Donor Egg Bank USA network are frozen and stored in a U.S. FDA-approved device. These approved devices are considered as closed and protected from viral and bacterial disease transmission.
These
devices have been approved as “closed and protected” from viral and
bacterial disease transmission. That’s to say that regardless of what’s
happening in the outside environment, these oocytes are protected; in a
state of metabolically suspended animation to allow them to be stored
for a very long time. In these times of concern about viral
transmission, the oocytes are in a safe and protected environment, ready
to be warmed and made available to help you fulfill your dream of
building a family.
Many of our clients tell us about their journey with infertility and question why this treatment will work when others have failed. There are two primary indications for egg donation treatment. They are age and ovarian reserve.
Age: As a person increases in age, their eggs age as well. They will experience a significant decline in fertility starting in their mid-30s. The decline becomes more pronounced as a person reaches their 40s, with a near-zero pregnancy rate utilizing their own eggs by age 45.
Ovarian Reserve: Decreased ovarian function can occur in younger persons, and, in severe cases, complete ovarian failure (menopause) can occur in persons under the age of 40.
Once your
pre-screening is complete and you are matched with a donor, we estimate four weeks
to complete your cycle. This is much faster than a traditional egg donation
treatment, which can take more than six months to complete, as the egg donor
needs to be pre-screened and then the intended parent’s and donor’s cycles need
to be synchronized.
Yes, we work with many clients who require donor sperm, a gestational carrier, or both. Of course, the fees for these additional services are not included in our package plans and may be charged to you by your physician. We recommend the use of our California Cryobank sperm for gamete matching.
If an intended parent plans
to use a gestational carrier in the Assured Refund or Multi Egg Lot Refund Plans,
but has not yet secured one, they may be approved into the plan as “pre-qualified”
based on acceptable sperm source parameters, and embryos may be made prior to
securing the gestational carrier. Once found, the gestational carrier will be reviewed
for program eligibility.
We give the embryology team at the laboratory up to two weeks from
the time an intended parent completes agreements and payment to prepare the order.
Since your shipment is precious cargo, we want the lab to have adequate time to
carefully prepare and package the eggs. We then ship the eggs to Australia by
courier on a monthly basis.
